Wood Flooring            ( Choosing your floor - some considerations)

Our standard wood flooring products are tongued and grooved, usually ends matched (i.e. tongue and groove in ends as well as sides), and mixed lengths, in the following materials.

Natural Grade Oak Strip - A good value wood floor, 20 mm thick, widths 63, 83, 114 and 140 mm, mixed lengths from 400 mm up to 1.8 metres, ends matched.   Sound knots, colour and texture variation and patterns.  Could be some open knots.         

European Oak - Available in both 20 mm thick boards and 10 and 12 mm thick overlay. Mixed lengths from 1.5 up to 3 metres (majority over 2 metres), square ends or ends matched, , widths 95,115,140,165,200 mm. Available pre-sanded.
Prime Grade - A very high quality clear grade of hardwood flooring, mainly free of knots and defects. 
Character Grade - Contains sound knots and grain patterns, some colour variation.     Our most popular wood flooring. 
Oak Blocks - various sizes available. Can be used for patterned hardwood flooring.

American Oak - Available in prime and natural grade strip flooring, T&G ends matched wood flooring. Widths mainly 63, 83, 114, 140 mm.

Ash - A light coloured and very hard wood, with some darker colour variation in some boards, and occasional sound knots. Makes a very attractive wood floor.  Mixed lengths from 1.5 metres up, widths 115, 140, 165 and 200 mm.   Available pre-sanded.             

Maple - A light coloured and very hard wood, 20 mm. T&G ends matched, widths generally 57, 83, 127, 130 and 150 mm. although not in all grades. Available grades are
Natural - contains colour variation with some dark streaks and patches                       
Prime- some variation in colour    
Select - a clear, even colour grade 
Blocks available.

Merbau - A dark brown, clear timber, 65, 90 and 135 mm by 20 mm wood flooring boards, 70 mm by 9 mm overlay, 270 by 70 blocks                                                                                                                                

Rhodesian Teak - We can supply a variegated grade. Available mainly in widths 88 mm. by 20 mm thick

Beech - Available in both Natural and Prime grades, 83 mm by 20 mm.                                       

Cherry - Both American and European available in Rustic grade, widths 63, 89, 114, 125 and 130 mm., Prime grade 125 mm and Mixed grade in widths 115, 140 and 165 mm.   European is available pre-sanded.                             

Birch - Our birch hardwood flooring is very tight grown and durable. It has a yellowish sheen with some darker wood and dark knots. Normally 125 or 130 mm wide by 20 mm thick.  Not as hard and durable as other hardwoods.

American Walnut - A dark, almost purple wooden floor, normally 90, 114 and 140 mm wide, available in Natural grade.           

Skirting Board (115 mm, 140 mm, and 165 mm), Architrave, Door Linings- oak in stock, some other timbers machined to order.

The above is a small sample of our stocks of wood flooring. We also supply larch, red elm, pine, afromosia, iroko, jarrah, pallipi, panga panga, Burmese teak, bamboo, etc., as well as a full range of sealers, adhesives, fillers etc.

Pre-finished Hardwood Flooring - Available in European Oak, Ash and Cherry as pre-sanded to minimise installation time, only requires sealing, or sealed with a semi-gloss polyurethane in 18 mm thick Rustic Oak 110 mm , 20 mm thick Rustic and Prime Maple 83 mm and 127 mm, Mixed grade Beech 83 and 127 mm, and Bamboo white and toffee 150 mm by 15 mm. Also 10 mm by 80 and 90 mm rustic and prime oak and maple overlay strip.

Laminated Flooring - We stock a very good quality laminated floor, pre-finished, in oak, beech, and maple, 14 mm thick including a 3.6 mm hardwood surface layer, in a 3 strip board 190 mm wide and 2.2 metres long, and single strip 160 mm wide. Contact us for a very competitive price for a quality product. We can also supply a 210 mm wide by 15 mm thick 3 strip board with a 4 mm thick surface layer in Ash, Beech, Cherry, Hevea, Kempas, Maple, Merbau and both Red and White Oak.            

Hardwood Worktops - Solid Worktops, end grain finger jointed, 3 metres by 65 cm.
Oak - 35 mm. thick
Beech, Burmese Teak, Cherry, Bamboo - 27 mm. thick

Decking - Available in oak.

Timber - We can supply sawn, square edged, and planed timber.
